Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Rosterly on the web or in the Android app. By creating a workspace or joining one, you agree to them.
The service
Rosterly lets workplaces plan rosters, record working time, manage leave and requests, and share team updates. A workspace belongs to the person who created it (the owner), who invites staff and decides what is recorded.
Pay figures in Rosterly are estimates from base hourly rates. They do not include tax, penalty rates, awards, allowances or overtime, and are not payroll or legal advice.
Free trial
Every new workspace can be used free for 14 days with up to 60 staff. No payment details are needed to start. When the trial ends, the workspace needs a paid plan to keep making changes.
Plans and payment
Plans are priced per workspace, not per person, and include GST: Starter: up to 10 staff, A$29 a month or A$290 a year; Team: up to 25 staff, A$59 a month or A$590 a year; Business: up to 60 staff, A$119 a month or A$1190 a year. Staff never pay to use Rosterly. Google Play shows the equivalent price in your local currency in the Android app.
Subscriptions bought in the Android app are billed by Google Play. Subscriptions bought on the Rosterly website are billed by Stripe. Only the workspace owner can buy or change the plan.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until cancelled. We will tell you before we change the price of an existing subscription, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
Moving to a larger plan takes effect straight away. A plan cannot be smaller than the number of active staff and pending invitations in the workspace.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time: in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions for app subscriptions, or from Plan & billing on the website for website subscriptions. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
Payments are not refunded for partly used periods, except where the law requires it. Google Play refund requests follow Google Play’s refund policies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that apply to you.
When a subscription ends
If the trial or a subscription ends without renewal, the workspace becomes read-only: everyone can still see it, export their own data and delete their account, but rosters and records cannot be changed until the owner chooses a plan. Staff can still clock out of a shift they started.
We keep the workspace for at least 90 days after a subscription ends, so you can pick up where you left off. After that we may delete it after telling the owner by email.
Your responsibilities
Keep your password safe, give accurate information, only invite people you are allowed to manage, and use Rosterly lawfully. Do not attempt to access other workspaces, overload or disrupt the service, or misuse it to harass others.
Workplaces remain responsible for complying with employment, record-keeping and privacy laws that apply to them.
Your data
Your workplace’s information remains yours. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how it is handled. You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Account & privacy.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Rosterly available and secure, but it may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve or change features; if a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of that period.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Rosterly is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where the law does not allow guarantees to be excluded, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Rosterly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, after giving notice where reasonable.
